Describe the people and tasks accurately
Explain how testers were recruited and why their devices or interests fit the app. Identify the main journeys they attempted. Avoid inflating a device count from multiple reports by the same person, or describing a developer-only cohort as representative of every customer. Keep participation records separate from private report counts and state any important limitations in language you can support.
Connect feedback to actual changes
Choose specific examples: users could not find saved items, a permission denial blocked onboarding or a payment restore failed. Say what changed in which build and how it was retested. A list of generic improvements such as ‘better performance and UI’ is difficult to assess. Preserve original observations and check that your summary does not imply a fix was verified when it was merely proposed.
Explain why the release is ready within scope
Review core tasks, reliability, privacy disclosures and release configuration separately. The opt-in threshold permits an application; it does not guarantee approval. A tester marketplace cannot provide truthful answers on your behalf without your records. If coverage is incomplete, describe the remaining work instead of claiming every possible device and flow has been tested.
Working example
Answer outline: ‘Our cohort included these device categories. They attempted these core tasks. We received these recurring findings. In build X we changed Y and retested it with the affected participants. These limitations remain.’ Fill the outline only with actual records. This is a writing aid, not a preapproved answer or a guarantee of production access.
